she's trying to take

She's trying to take some pictures
of the red bushy-tailed squirrel
bribed with the sprinkled seeds
on the stump.
I watch her, waiting for the moment
to conquer
the definitive squirrel picture,
capturing all its true nature.
How I admire the trust
the hope, the action,
I pass by the side, quietly,
been there, done what.

i swear it said

I swear, it said "Exercise and
walk with
God "
in big lit letters outside the
Church
of Salvation (corner of
Tournament
Street)
what does it mean?
like in get up, eat, exercise,
walk
with God, do the laundry,
do the spring clean?
or maybe, if you exercise,
reward is walking with God,
or as in, exercise is God?
I see no rhyme or reason,
explain so I don't miss the season.

What's the matter

What's the matter with you people,
can you be bought just like that
at the drop of a hat,
one day I believe
in people seeing through the tricks,
having build this country
with solid bricks
not crumbling chalk,
next I disbelieve
and despair,
the cheap talk
in gold leaf cloak
seduced you all
with deceiving thin air.
